I'm Jacob O'Bryant, Findka's creator. I started researching music recommendation algorithms during my undergrad in 2016, and those projects have since evolved into Findka. I work on this full-time.

How does it work?

Findka primarily does collaborative filtering over the items submitted by users. I review a sample of the recommendations and make adjustments as needed, which also helps me improve the algorithm.

How does this make money?

I'm planning to allow targeted advertising with some twists to prevent Findka from becoming spammy.

What's the roadmap?

Right now I'm continuing to grow the number of subcribers and improve the algorithm. Ultimately, my vision is to (1) make content consumption as convenient as possible, and (2) do it in a way that helps fellow creators make a living doing what they love.

I've got lots of ideas and plans that I'm excited to try out. If you'd like to receive updates about my work, subscribe to my newsletter.
